With my love for all things gut and skin I didn’t want us to forget about the beautiful balance of all the body’s functions, and what it can be like when this sometimes goes amiss. Particularly important if we want to create a blueprint of our partner and self.
So today I wanted to stress the importance of considering the load you are placing on our detoxification systems in your lifestyle.
I think we appreciate that the Liver/Pancreas/Kidneys/Skin/Gut/Lungs have a pretty significant job to do from the environment we live in. So we have to consider this when we decide on our actions for the day/week. What else can we do to give them a helping hand?
As we have the greatest control over what we put in and on our bodies, I think its easy to see why we really need to start there. If you have a good management over diet and bodycare products then cool, how are you conditioning the body then mind and allowing it to be at its prime a.k.a exercise and mindset. If you are not moving during the day then the body will not be able to truly function, if your thoughts are unforgiving then that’s just as damaging. Prior pregnancy is the best time to practice a daily routine that is supporting and nourishing to your function. Its not a time for not noticing, or not caring. The reward, creating this practice now means it’ll be easier when you have less time and are older. Detoxing at regular times is highly helpful!
It’s not just important prior pregnancy but I think we can see why it is more so at this time. We want to have a smooth pregnancy, a smooth birth and a peaceful child. When the body is at ease and functioning fully you have the greatest chance to achieving this.
So that niggling skin or gut concern, should that be noticed?
